Hello again

One word that describes my life at present is confusing. Another one is unsettled. A third would be unpredictable. I don't like when things are confusing, unsettled and unpredictable anymore than the next person, so this leads to my being very stressed at every moment.
Well, almost every moment. There is an oasis in this desert of instability, and it's called the Omni.
The Omni is my gym where I work out, and if I could I would go there every day and relax the hours away. It's simply a beautiful place and it does wonders for every part of me.
I never breathe. Ever since I was a kid taking horseback riding lessons, people have been telling me I don't breathe right. "You're not breathing!" my instructors would shout. "You have to breathe!" When I'm under stress, this gets even worse. I just don't take in enough air and I don't relax enough to breathe out either. This results in all kinds of health problems.
But at the Omni I have to breathe in and breathe out--deeply. I work hard enough to demand that of myself. It's such a new and comforting feeling for me. For the 2 hours I'm in that place I only think about calories, distances and muscle groups. Have I mentioned that I love this place?
Anyways, I'm hoping that things in my life will become clear, stable and predictable soon enough. Until then I won't be able to do much of anything in the way of planning my future.

Everyone at one point or the other experiences this state of confusion when everything seems not to be going on fine
I've actually seen myself in worse conditions (thought that was the end of life) but I still survived it and became much stronger.

Thanks to an old friend /adviser/mentor/activity partner/counsellor...... Gregory Wenigha

Here are a few helpful tips that helped me and still helps me to HEAL MY MIND when I seem to be experiencing stress

1- Don't overload your life with risks

2-List out all you have to do each day week or month/year and priortize them according to urgency/impotance

List out all the present problems you need to solve ....priortize them according to urgency/impotance
-some can be grouped together or may require the success / accomplishment of another ....

treat the little ones and get done with them so that you can have more time/space to focus on the bigger ones

Break the big problem into parts/stages and chew(solve) it gradually...

Some definitely can wait for a while even though they are important (postpone it for a while)

Don't worry yourself much when do don't have the money/means to fulfil a particular desire.. wait for sometime....the answer may be on the way

Just trust more in God, talk to other people about it.... while dicussing, they just might lend a helping hand, saving you time money and stress

Try to work through other people (ask them to help you do one thing or the other..... little drops can make a mighty ocean (don't always want to do everything yourself-playing superman when you could have used that time to relax )

Reduce the journeys you make, that's why coomunication(email, phone, post office) was made
Attend only the very important and which you have the means to ..

Less journey's means less expenses and more time to rest... you can make the journey through other people going same place/direction(ask them to help you deliver your message).... Eg. using one stone to kill three birds (proverb)

Even if you have all the energy to do it right now , Save some for tomorrow. Do it gradually. a longer life means more achievements for you

Don't be afraid to say no or decline to what will give you much cause for worry. Doesn't mean that you are lazy or unkind .....you can always send in your help/support later or by some other means....Get used to saying no...

Even if I have a flare and liking to do so many things but them I must always realize that if I have to stay alive with good health I must pick just a few today and achieve them within a particular period. I can do a few again later. (Slow and steady wins the race)

Learn how to empty the mind and sleep like a baby even if trouble is all around you (forget it all for now...and handle it one at a time when you are much stronger)

Don't overwork yourself because of need for money to achive certain things/desires ... take life easy....an email,a visit to a friend, a phone call or discussion with a friend might solve all the problems you spent 2 years working for ......(information is power)

DON'T BE TOO LAZY AND DON'T BE TOO HARD WORKING........be moderate

Try to pick on job opputunities or own businesses with less stress, risk ....oppurtinities that reduce your risk factor

Avoid stress as much as you can but if it comes along ....then try to manage it

Stress also has a positive side as People who have experienced stress in the past can actually bear/tolerate more than those who hardly experienced it.

.....will tell you more..... in my reply to your last mail which I'm still preparing

Take care of yourself Sister

Sali I'd love to work out with you!!! We should play tennis with Keshie too. :-P

Virgin, thanks for all the advice--WOW! Now I know why you are an author and director. :-P
That's the biggest thing--I need to learn how to say NO when I know I can't possibly take on another task. It's hard though to say no but if I work on it hopefully I'll learn. Practice makes perfect.

God bless.
